Jayde
The muscles in her throat spasmed, almost like she was gagging, but then relaxed almost instantly. She gasped silently, feeling his teeth drag against the inside of her neck, two sharp pin pricks, making her eyes glaze over with tears, and then the pain stopped. She felt like she was buzzing, a fuzzy tingle slowly sweeping over her body. Her eyes were half closed, her tears leaking from the corners, forgotten and unfelt. She trembled slightly, beginning to get cold. Opening her mouth, Jayde tried to call Aubrey’s name, but her voice wasn’t working. Her mind felt sluggish, starting to loose interest in figuring out what he was doing. She closed her eyes, and felt him sucking on her gently. It felt like he was pulling her mind out. She almost giggled, thinking how stupid that sounded and then the thought was gone with the rest of her, lazily swirling in the back of her mind.
Jayde subconsciously tilted her head, allowing him more skin, and he responded, sinking his fangs into her throat deeper, draining her steadily. Her breaths came deeper, but kept the same pace, his teeth restricting her slightly. Her face paled, and the tingling became sharper, the loss of blood affecting her. Her voice still wasn’t working, and she could barely breath. Her hands moved down his sides, not having the strength of common sense to tug at his shirt, but just smoothed down him, enjoying the feel of him lying atop her.
Her mind eyes opened, black flecks swimming before her, darkness seeping into her peripheral vision. No, this is wrong. Jayde turned her head, trying to break free of him. His teeth stuck in her, she only tore skin. Screaming, her voice cut through the silence and she squirmed beneath him, pain undulating from her shredded throat. Her arms pinned under him, she arched her back, trying to ease the pain, new tears falling from her eyes. He stared down at her, a thin line of blood staining his bottom lip.
“Jayde,” he whispered, starting to realize what he’d done. Sobbing, she twisted beneath him, her neck sticky and hurting. A few unintelligible words escaped her lips, and he put his thumb over them to silence her.
Lowering his lips to her throat, he blinked away a tear and let his fangs slide back into her torn skin. Jayde whimpered, biting her lip to keep from screaming. The darkness was almost overwhelming now, and she struggled to keep air in her lungs. Her arms lay limp at her sides, the rest of her frail body numb. Her neck the only thing she could still feel, was growing warmer. His teeth almost scorching her, she forced a few more deep breaths, and then let her eyes slide shut, no longer holding the energy to keep them open. His fangs kept getting hotter, and she wondered if he knew he was burning her. Her eyes pushed open once more, and he pulled back from her finally, the heat seeping into the rest of her body. His face loomed over hers, and she saw the sparkle of tears in his eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered to her, his hands on both sides of her face, keeping her looking up at him. She wanted to smack him, or kiss him, or tell him it was ok, but her voice and mind failed her, leaving her to lay weak and broken beneath him, as she let out her last breath and died.
